Nottingham Comets would like to thank everyone who contributes to the running of our club. Without sponsorship and community support, we would not be able to provide women of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to play basketball.
Persimmon Homes
Women’s basketball in Nottingham has been given a financial boost following a £1,000 donation to the Nottingham Comets.
The women’s basketball club received the funds from the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme and plans to increase its coaches and training sessions to make the sport more accessible.
As part of the Community Champions scheme, each month Persimmon Homes donates up to £64,000 to good causes across the UK, including up to £2,000 in the Nottingham region.
Next
Nottingham Comets received a donation from Next PLC as part of their Community Charitable Donations programme.
Next is able to support local sports groups or organisations through donations, even if they don’t have charitable status.
Walking Basketball UK
WBUK have provided the initial funding for starting Walking Basketball Sessions.
